OUT NOW on One Little Indian Records.

Kathryn has a voice like no other.

I had the pleasure of being in her band for the recording and touring of 'The Quickening' - recorded in the wilds of North Wales and toured around the UK in 2010.

The BBC's Jude Rogers has described Kathryn as "A soft soul with hard edges who reminds us that quietness can resound so loudly".

Throughout the Quickening Tour, while going through the daily routines of the road, my ears began imagining how her unique voice might combine with the gentle subtlety of the vibraphone within the beautiful, harmonically rich world of the Great American Songbook.

Originally conceived of as a duo, this vibes and voice CD / touring project has grown to incorporate additional instrumentalists including the glorious trumpet of Martin Shaw and is now available on One Little Indian records.

I'm proud to be have been a member of this wonderful jazz orchestra since before the turn of the century.

The list of our guests and collaborators reads like a who's who of the jazz world.

In spite of the loss of our weekly BBC broadcast, the band continues to be active on the concert circuit, bringing the very best in Big Band music to the finest concert halls and muddy fields of the land.

BENNY, DUKE AND PEGGY!peggy-duke--benny/c1wq4

This band has been playing together for a few years now and we have taken this show to lots of places around the UK and abroad.

The songs of Peggy Lee and the music of Duke Ellington are performed in the style of the Benny Goodman Quartet and presented by the incomparable Peter Long,

Look out also for the 'Benny And Beyond' show where we play a variety of music from all across the jazz timeline within the style of Benny Goodman and Lionel Hampton.
